Nordea Markets Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities (FICC) is looking to recruit a Management Consultant to its Global Business Development (GBD) unit, established to foster the continued success for Nordea Markets. GBD acts as an internal management consultancy providing strategic analysis and driving global change initiatives across our geographical centres. You will be employed by Markets FICC in Helsinki or Oslo. The position will require some travelling to our other offices.
Provide strategic analysis and drive global change initiatives
You will join a dynamic team of 10 high performing management consultants located throughout the Nordic countries. GBD is the strategic think-tank and execution arm of Nordea Markets, and we thrive to be the preferred choice for strategy and execution of our most critical initiatives.
Being the leading Nordic bank in today’s rapidly changing business environment, we find it to be imperative to have the best capabilities in-house to develop our global strategies and solutions. You are expected to manage and drive business critical projects from start to finish, and report to the executive management team in your daily work. Furthermore, you are expected to proactively challenge what we do, show curiosity for new solutions, and drive subsequent change.
GBD drives projects and analysis work with a global change agenda, for example aligning and improving our business to new regulations, changing customer demand or technological improvements. Projects are initiated and delivered in close co-operation with Sales and Trading (front office), and typically require coordination towards a variety of internal stakeholders, like Treasury, Legal, and IT, as well as various market participants, authorities and vendors.

You are dedicated, ambitious, and willing to work hard to achieve results
We are looking for a person who is highly motivated, self-driven, proactive and with 3 to 7 years of experience from a management consultancy firm as a project or sub-project manager. Prior experience from the financial services industry, especially capital markets, is a plus.
You are expected to act as a driver and coordinating force between senior management, business and IT for the realisation of our most critical global initiatives.
You must be extrovert and able to package and sell ideas to management, and able to deliver results in accordance to set deadlines whilst maintaining attention to details.
You must be fluent in written and spoken English and preferably at least one Nordic language, and be highly skilled in Microsoft Office.
