Kongsberg Gruppen Software and Hardware Engineers - Offshore Division, FPSO&LNG applications (KMC 15/008)

Kongsberg Maritime, Offshore Projects, is responsible for running Integrated Automation System (IAS) projects in the "high end" market of ship and vessel automation. Our section is specializing on automation systems for LNG (Liquified Natural Gas) carriers and leased FPSO’s. We search for SW and HW Engineers to strengthen our team.

Main tasks:

• Engineering according to production specifications to our delivery projects.
• Be the main technical contact towards our customers and locations abroad.
• Create specifications of functions and interfaces on LNG/FPSO vessels.
• Test and verify deliveries according to plans, specifications and procedures.
• Maintain and develop procedures and routines for system and application tests.
• On-site start-up and support on shipyards and vessels worldwide.
• Assist our sales department with technical issues.

We search for persons with:

• Knowledge of SW or HW engineering.

• Good language skills both Norwegian and English
• Ability to identify and drive resolution of issues
• Work independently and a getting things done mentality
• Creative and efficient multidisciplinary team spirit
• Comfortable with traveling

Qualification:

• Technical education and/or relevant maritime experience.
• Automation or electrical background.
• Excellent collaborative skills and good communication skills.
• Self-driven and confident of own SW technical expertise.
• Fluent English speaking and writing skills.
