Technology & Projects is part of the new Technology unit in Telenor Group. Technology & Projects works closely with the Business Units to support and drive their transformational journeys, in particular implementing new operating Models.
Do you want to take a leading role in some of the key initiatives on the journey towards becoming a Digital Service Provider in the Telenor Group? Are you structured and goal oriented, while still able to bring new insight? Do you have experience in leading digital transformation in a complex project environment, and with a successful track record?
We are now seeking experienced project director to join the team.
The Project Management unit has three main areas of responsibility: - We provide the best project managers and show strong project leadership and support - We maintain the project prioritization and portfolio management for Technology & Projects - We maintain and develop the project methodology, tools and training programs across the group

Job description
Taking lead on complex IT transformation projects impacting market offering, processes and organization
Getting decision for and driving change across Telenor markets and technology domains
Being able to suggest an optimal delivery approach for projects with different characteristics, and to plan, lead and deliver according to the agreed approach.
Run optimal projects, end to end, balancing benefits, risks, time and cost
Understand customer expectations and secure successful handovers to the receiving organization
Prepared to travel on short notice between Telenor Business Units when circumstances require it
Manage stakeholders across group, region, BUs and Functions, at all levels, including Telenor Board level
Lead Cross functional project teams, consisting of internal, cross BU and external resources, and motivate project participants, stakeholders and owners to go the extra mile needed to deliver
Qualifications
Demonstrated strong leadership, project management capabilities and a passion for delivering results and can provide the references to support this
Hold a University degree, preferably Master degree or equivalent
Experience from a senior technology position within IT systems or architecture
Experience with leading implementation of complex IT transformation projects
Proven track record for applying suitable project management technics, tools and approaches on different categories of projects and programs
Experience with leading implementation of large cross functional and company IT transformation programs
Experience in working with senior stakeholders and comfortable in communicating at both CxO and expert levels
You are updated on key trends, players/vendors within the IT and Telco market
Good in oral and written English communication and used to do presentations in English
Personal qualities
Proven ability to influence decision makers and facilitate complex processes and decisions
You have a record that demonstrates a passion for business, exploitation of existing and new technologies as well as excellent execution and delivery abilities
Good understanding of cultural elements and enjoy working in a multi-cultural environment
Independent, structured and self-governed with a solution orientated attitude
Strong in interpersonal and consensus building skills
Driven by successfully delivering results in complex projects/programs involving numerous senior executive stakeholders
The ability to have a holistic view and at the same time be able to dive into details when required
